NCHSE Curriculum Enhancements Revisions Project

The National Consortium for Health Science Education (NCHSE) is seeking to update to the Health Science Curriculum Enhancements to align this resource with the National Health Science Standards, May 2019 revisions. The curriculum enhancements serve as a classroom resource enrichment, designed for use in conjunction with state curriculum resources, lesson plans, and outlines; as well as textbooks and resources that accompany these instructional materials. The NCHSE curriculum enhancements were designed by fellow educators.

One of NCHSE’s strategic priorities is to support health science teachers by providing resources to effectively teach the National Health Science Standards, Standards provide a comprehensive framework upon which curriculum designs and assessment construction results. They represent a “body of knowledge and technical skills” expressed at an appropriate level of complexity that enrolled students should know and be able to do.

NCHSE is seeking a subject matter expert to design and develop lesson plans, projects, activities and strategies around the revised National Health Science Standards. Ideally, this curriculum will focus on a variety of methodologies that would effectively support student mastery of the knowledge and skills of these standards.

The proposal (RFP) outlines guidelines and scope of work.

The deadline for submission of applications is January 10, 2020. Proposals and any questions should be sent to: Nancy H. Allen, NCHSE Executive Director,  nancy@healthscienceconsortium.org
