The 2018 National Health Science Conference is a 100% health science education focused!

Keynote Speakers

Barb Bancroft

Barb Bancroft has provided more than 2500 continuing education events on clinical topics pertaining to pathophysiology, physical assessment, and pharmacology to health care professionals. She has held faculty positions at the University of Virginia, the University of Arkansas, Loyola University of Chicago, and St. Xavier University of Chicago. Barb Bancroft is the author of four books, and is currently working on her fifth titled, Laughing My Aspirin Off. Barb provides a wealth of clinical information that can be applied to everyday practice.

 

Bill Coon

Bill was born in 1989 with Hypoplastic Left Ventricle Syndrome, a congenital birth defect. In the final hours of Bill’s life, the phone rang, and Bill became the eighth infant heart transplant in the nation. Many years pass, and at age 20, Bill was rushed to the hospital where a team of doctors informed him that he was in both end-stage heart and kidney failure. Since returning home, Bill has become an avid spokesperson for organ donation. In 2017, Bill launched Keep Swimming Foundation. A nonprofit organization that aims to provide financial relief to the families of individuals facing long-term inpatient care.

 

Michele Deck

Michele Deck presents on innovative teaching methods in the field of health care education and training. She is co-founder and chief executive officer of G.A.M.E.S., a company that specializes in seminars on adult learning and interactive training methods, and Tool Thyme for Trainers, a company which supplies innovative and creative presentation tools for educators worldwide. She has authored twelve books on creative and involving ways to teach adults. Michele is a past president of Lamaze International and it’s current Accreditation Chair.
